Dr. Phil Daborn is an experienced Gynaecologist and Urogynaecologist based in South Perth adjacent to the Perth Zoo, and operating at Hollywood Private Hospital 

He has been practising privately since 2010. He is also part of the Urogynaecology Unit at King Edward Memorial Hospital. Dr Daborn’s particular interest is in urogynaecology, which encompasses female genital tract prolapse and urinary incontinence.

His practice is based on Labouchere Road, South Perth. He is a Certified Urogynaecologist and Gynaecologist. After finishing his Obstetric and Gynaecology training he had further advanced training in multiple centres to achieve a urogynaecology subspecialty recognition. He has extensive knowledge in the management of urinary incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction and complex vaginal repair surgery. He performs surgery in both primary cases (patients that have not had previous surgery) and secondary cases (patients have had previous surgery that has failed or they have had complications). He accepts referrals from both general practitioners and other specialists. He is also able to provide an on-site comprehensive urodynamic service. He provides a broad range of gynaecological services including treatment for menstrual disorders, surgery for fibroids, endometrial ablation, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures. Dr Daborn has had further education and training with more specific procedures including laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy for vault prolapse and sacral neuromodulation for urinary urge incontinence and voiding disorder.

Dr. Daborn believes in a multidisciplinary care model and a patient focused delivery. He will take a thorough history and examination and arrange investigations, as required. He will devise a treatment plan based on the patient’s particular wishes and needs. He has an extensive range of colleagues that he works with to provide a multidisciplinary approach, particularly with physiotherapy, pain management and colorectal disorders.  Dr Daborn understands that some of these issues can be confronting and personally challenging and he takes a gentle and warm approach so patients can proceed in a way that is most comfortable. His staff have been particularly chosen to assist with this style of practice.
